Acceptance of Terms
By registering for, accessing, or using the Kameti platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), as well as our Privacy Policy.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," "your") and Kameti ("we," "us," "our"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are prohibited from using the Service and must immediately discontinue access.
Description of Service
Kameti is an offline-first, Admin-only digital ledger and management tool. It provides a secure dashboard that helps the Administrator structure, record, and monitor Rotating Savings and Credit Association (ROSCA) cycles locally.
The Service allows the Administrator to log individuals, create Kametis, track enrollments, and manage the payments and payouts for each participant entirely within their own local system. There is no member access or collaborative portal.
Accounts & Security
Admin Account Registration #
This application is strictly for Administrator use. To access the Service, you must create a verified Admin account by providing accurate authentication details. There are no sub-admin or member accounts.
Security Obligations #
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- You are fully responsible for all actions taken under your account.
Kameti Operations & Rules
Administrator Responsibilities #
As the sole user of the application, the Administrator has complete operational control and their workflow typically involves:
- Offline Profile Management: Creating profiles for individuals, setting up Kameti groups, and tracking their enrollments locally without providing them app access.
- Monthly Ledger Activities: Managing and recording monthly payments, withdrawals, and assigning fines or penalties according to the group's offline agreed rules.
- Oversight: Maintaining accurate ledger entries, recording correct payouts, and documenting any defaults or disputes for personal tracking.
Record Accuracy & Liability #
Since the application is for Admin use only, the Administrator is entirely responsible for the accuracy of all logged transactions. We are not responsible for typographical or entry errors made by the Administrator.
Financial Disclaimer & Liability
- Not a Financial Intermediary: Kameti is solely a bookkeeping ledger tool. We do not operate, act as, or hold license as a bank, financial institution, chit fund company, or licensed money manager.
- No Holding of Funds: We do not hold, pool, invest, process, or manage physical funds. All actual monetary transfers (contributions and payouts) must occur directly between group members offline or via external banking tools.
- No Guarantee Against Default: We have no liability or control over individual member actions. If a member defaults on their contributions or refuses to make a payment, the dispute must be resolved offline among the group members.
- Legal Compliance: You are solely responsible for ensuring your committee group complies with local, regional, and national financial regulations in your jurisdiction.
User Conduct
You agree not to engage in any prohibited activities on the platform, including:
- Utilizing the local ledger to track money laundering, illegal schemes, or unauthorized chit funds.
- Attempting to bypass application licensing, inject malicious scripts, or reverse-engineer the platform.
Intellectual Property
All content, design elements, codebase, text, graphics, and logo designs on our website and mobile application are the exclusive property of Kameti and are protected under international copyright, trademark, and patent laws.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and restrict access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if we believe your behavior violates these Terms, harms our users, or breaches applicable laws.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Kameti, its founders, directors, employees, or partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of funds, profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which our business is registered. Any legal action, suit, or proceeding arising out of these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the competent courts located in our principal place of business.
